Mooresville, NC.– The second event of the 2013 MasterCraft Pro Wakeboard Tour Presented by Rockstar commenced in Mooresville today with impressive riding from the Pro Men as well as the riders on the Overton’s Junior Pro Series.

Fans flocked to the shores of Lake Norman to see the Pro Tour’s only North Carolina stop this year and were treated to a masterful wakeboarding demo by last season’s defending champion Harley Clifford. The Aussie-phenom looked focused on keeping his crown, registering a run that was highlighted by larger-than-life aerials and technical rail maneuvers to claim first-place in his heat. Giving Clifford a run for his money for best of show during day one were Rusty Malinoski and Andrew Adkison, who both put in heat-winning performances to advance to tomorrow’s quarterfinals round.

“We had a great first day of competition in Mooresville for the MasterCraft Pro Wakeboard Tour,” said Chris Bischoff, competition director. “The wake from the X-Star was huge; the guys were boosting off it and feeding off the crowd’s energy. The stage is set for an action-packed final day tomorrow.”

The Overton’s Junior Pro Series also saw top-tier riding today from a slew of riders. The “Man-Child” Noah Flegel continues to take his riding to a level well beyond his years, posting a division high score of 97.75 to claim day one top honors. Flegel will need another day of near perfect riding in tomorrow’s elimination rounds to claim victory though with a handful of riders, including Parker Siegele and Tony Iacconi, looking very impressive today as well.

Following the final rounds of action tomorrow, fans will witness the jaw-dropping Polaroid Action Big-Air Contest. Riding behind the MasterCraft X-Star, riders will launch massive tricks that are rarely attempted in standard contest format.
