Trevorhansen.com strikes again. Trevor Hansen shot this video of the double-up contest that concluded last weekend’s Wake Jam wakeboarding and live music event in Winter Haven, Florida.
The two-day double-up contest was a hammer-filled affair as a handful of pro wakeboarders, including 2009 King of Wake Aaron Rathy, Rusty Malinoski, Bob Soven and JD Webb, threw down for $8,000 in prize money.
Malinoski landed two 1080s, which were only the second and third 1080s ever landed in a wakeboarding contest. Malinoski landed the first contest 1080 at the final stop of the 2009 MasterCraft Pro Wakeboard Tour in Reno, Nevada.
In the end, though, Nick Galotifore landed a heelside 900 to outlast Malinoski and Rathy in the contest’s final round.
