Want a chance to personally photograph Parks Bonifay, JD Webb, Josh Sanders, Brian Grubb, Dallas Friday and the Heaney brothers? Then gather your best wake photos and get them to us right away. Readers, riders and nonprofessional wake photographers (photogs who have never had a photo published by any magazine that sells on a newstand) can submit photos in four different categories to WakeBoarding magazine starting right now. Each month from April through July, WakeBoarding magazine’s editorial staff will narrow down the submissions to the top five photos in that month’s category. We’ll post the top five on our website, where readers will be able to vote for their favorite photo. The photo with the most reader votes in each category will win. Four winners will be selected, one for each category, and each winner will have their photo displayed in a 2007 issue of WakeBoarding magazine. After voting is concluded in the final category, Red Bull will arrange to have the four finalists travel to Orlando, Florida, during the week of Parks’ Double or Nothing Contest and Surf Expo in September to spend a few days with WakeBoarding magazine staff photographer Bill Doster while he shoots the Red Bull wake team. Red Bull will supply professional camera gear that each of the finalists will use to take pictures. After the Orlando shoot, one photo from a single finalist will be selected for a coveted spot in WakeBoarding magazine’s Sessions photo feature.
Here are the categories and deadlines:
**APRIL
****Lifestyle:** Images that represent what happens before, between and after the action, capturing the camaraderie, coaching and training that comprise the world around wake sports.
Deadline: April 1
Online voting: April 6-30
**MAY
****Playground:** Images that showcase the landscapes, locations, platforms, and environments in which wake riders play.
Deadline: May 1
Online voting: May 7-31
**JUNE
****Illumination:** Images that illuminate your artistic skill, your personal best or unique style: this is an open category, so anything goes and give us your best wake shot.
Deadline: June 1
Online voting: June 5-30
**JULY
****Wings:** Images that capture the point in a performance in which the rider jumps, catches air, free falls or soars.
Deadline: July 1
Online voting: July 5-31
