Centurion’s Avalanche has a lot to offer recreational wakeboarders who want maxed-out comfort and convenience. As the official wakeboard boat of the WWA World Series stop at BoardStock, it has earned its place among the giants of the wakeboarding industry, too. So whether you’re in the mood for a hard-core ride behind the wakeboard boat or a laid-back afternoon inside the boat, the Centurion Avalanche has got you covered.

Hull: The deep-V design of this hull works overtime when it’s plowing through rough water, which is good news for you double-up junkies. Plus, the optional Bennett Trim Tab does a lot to enhance the running attitude of the Centurion Avalanche in a variety of conditions.

Ballast: True to its wakeboarding nature, the Centurion Avalanche comes standard with plenty of weight. The center tank adds 225 pounds to this boat’s heft, and another 418 pounds of optional ballast in two center tanks maximizes the wake-producing potential of this hull.

Tower: You’ve got three options here. Out of the box, the Avalanche features Centurion’s traditional brushed-aluminum tower. It’s a simple tube design that blends with the wakeboarding attitude of the boat. Or for a little more edge, opt for the Tribal tower or the black powder-coated Evolution tower. All three can be outfitted with swivel wakeboard racks.

Wake shaper: The Avalanche comes standard with an adjustable plate, but you can upgrade to the Switchblade, a wake-producing hydrofoil that’s controllable from the helm.

Seating: The main lounge is not so traditional in this wakeboard boat because it’s broken up by a walk-through transom. That means less seating, but it makes for one easy stroll to the platform when you’re ready to slip into your gear. The new, optional EZ rider driver’s seat has a flip-up bolster and swivel controls for a more comfortable perch when you’re behind the wheel. Or opt for the Matrix seat for maximum comfort.

THE WAKE

Peaky and crisp. These wakes were made to be tweaked with Centurion’s Switchblade wake shaper. You can have a really aggressive lip or tone it down by adjusting the Switchblade to lay out a more mellow peak, so you can charge it without fear of stuffing your wakeboard at the top.
