Byerly Toe Jam, Stop One

Wakeskaters around the world are fired up for the first stop on the inaugural Byerly Toe Jam Tour, “The Rockstar Energy Drink Rail Jam,” which will be held April 19-21 at The Projects in Bithlo, Florida.

The rail-heavy event is open to any wakeskater who registers online at byerlytoejam.com. If spots are still available, late registration will be held Wednesday, April 18, at 7 p.m. at the Aloma Draft House in Winter Park, Florida, where video highlights from previous Toe Jams and Volume Wakeskate Videos will also be screened. Riders are encouraged to sign up online as soon as possible to guarantee a spot.

On the first day of competition, all rail challengers will be narrowed down to a field of 16, who will qualify for the weekend’s activities, which will include a wake event on Friday and rail final Saturday. The top three rail finalists will be invited to the final Byerly Toe Jam event at The Projects September 20-22. Some previous champions already secured an invite, so if they place in the top three, the next highest riders will be selected.

Byerly is working harder than ever to bring this wakeskate-specific tour nationwide and is excited for it to kick off. “It’s gonna be crazy with all the new talent and new faces,” Byerly says. “The riders will be excited to qualify and the wakeskating will be the best in the world. And the consistency in landing tricks has never been better. Hammers every run, like everyday tricks. I can’t wait to see what everyone’s got.”

Rockstar stepped up big time for the Toe Jam’s first tour season as the presenting sponsor of three stops, providing some serious opportunity for today’s best wakeskaters along with scheduled broadcasts on Fuel TV. In addition the first stop is also made possible by: Sea-Doo, the official watercraft of the Toe Jam; O’Neill, the official apparel sponsor; Gator Boards, the official board company; Reef, the official footwear sponsor; as well as Arnette for constantly supporting Byerly’s visions and Air Nautiques for making this wake event possible.
