Wakeboard Boat Review

The crossover in the Nautique line, the Sport Nautique 200 does a little of everything in an archetypal Nautique package that moves nimbly from discipline to discipline. It’s great for compromising crews who don’t need top-end results and just want to have fun.

It’s not easy to make a boat that compromises well, but the Sport Nautique 200 does it all. This V-drive’s hull is based on the world-record-breaking Ski Nautique 200, so you can throw the center-mounted pylon in and get all the recreational slalom you want, then fill over 700 pounds of internal ballast and get ready to wakeboard and surf. Surfing is listed and powerful for this little boat’s size, and storage is plentiful. Anytime you have a multisport boat, you’re inherently going to have more equipment, and in a 20-foot hull, leveraging storage is priority one. Roomy, finished stowage compartments run front to back and open on gas-spring hinges, and an ice chest lies in wait for cool beverages. The boat looks polished because Nautique just doesn’t cut corners. Foam flooring covers the rear walk-through and swim platform, and the fit and finish is second to none. The LINC helm is crucial because rider profiles can be easily programmed to switch from slalom to wakeboarding for a smooth transition between sports.
