Harley Clifford Adds Apparel To New Contract With Body Glove

Redondo Beach, CALIFORNIA (January 4, 2015) – After a 2015 season full of historic performances pushing wakeboarding to its next level, 22-year-old Harley Clifford signed a new, multi-year deal with Body Glove International, adding boardshorts and apparel to his existing sponsorship of wetsuits and life jackets.

Arguably the best wakeboarder to ever strap on a pair of boots, Harley returned to his homeland in Australia last October with honors including a World Championship, Pro Wakeboard Tour season title, X Games Gold Medal and Wake Awards “Best Wakeboarder” to name a few. Outside of the competitive arena, “The Phenom” developed his ambassador skills even further, spreading the good word of wake on a daily basis, while helping the sport grow through his popularity and inspiration to wakeboarders worldwide. This achievement was further validated with Harley’s repeat, first-place ranking in Wakeboarding Magazine’s Annual Readers Poll.

“This season was insane,” Harley said. “It’s always a grind when you’re on tour, but looking back, I honestly can’t believe how everything came together. I’m living my dream and more excited than ever to keep pushing wakeboarding to the next step.”

Harley’s riding and lifestyle is an ideal testing ground for the research and development of Body Glove boardshorts. “I’m basically going to be living in Body Glove trunks every day and I’m pumped they’ve asked me to provide input to help innovate the best boardshorts for wakeboarders all over the world to enjoy. The 360 waistband is already on point for any situation and the entire clothing line is sick!”

Body Glove Director of Marketing, Nick Meistrell adds, “Our brand represents the celebration of All Things Water, and Harley has proven to be one of the most genuine and authentic characters in the game. The opportunity to add clothing to Harley’s deal is huge! We are looking forward to an exciting future.”

This expanded role was a natural move for Harley, who is celebrating his fifth year wearing Body Glove wetsuits and life jackets, including the best-selling Harley Clifford Signature comp vest. “A lot of people know Body Glove is founded and managed today by a great family, so it’s an absolute honor to build upon our relationship even further,” Harley added.
