2023 Heyday WT-2DC

The WT-2DC can handle a range of wake sports for a nice price.

The affordably priced WT-2DC and its big sister, the equally economical WT Surf, look unlike anything else on the market. The unique bow delivers an aggressive stance, helps create spacious seating, and provides its owners with a distinctive style all its own.

While inspecting the WT-2DC, we discovered two unique seats on each side of the V-drive inboard engine. Most watersports boats use this space as a sun pad with storage below. Heyday flipped the script. One can sit facing either direction in these seats, but it’s especially fun to face aft and watch the watersports action occurring in the wake. For 2023, Heyday upgraded the interior vinyl, and attractive nonskid flooring throughout makes the WT-2DC easy to walk around and clean. Both enhance the style and vibe of the boat’s interior.

At the helm, you’ll find a sliding, swiveling seat with a built-in flip bolster. Classic analog gauges and toggle switches for accessories make the WT-2DC simple to use. Front and center, there’s a Simrad touchscreen offering fuel level and flow, speed control, and more. A unique element to Heyday’s cruise-control software is Smart Tow. Pick your launch option from level 1 to 5, and Smart Tow controls take-off speed accordingly. This helps with teaching those new to watersports. New ballast-tank meters highlight ballast levels, making them easier to adjust for customizing wakes and waves.

With its 1,800 pounds of ballast, the WT-2DC can create wakes and waves for beginner to advanced riders. Add the optional 650-pound plug-and-play ballast bag to upsize the ride even more. With in-floor and underseat storage throughout, plus the swiveling board racks on the tower, room for gear abounds. Another advantage for beginners: Surf tow points on each side of the tower allow the wakesurf towrope to be mounted to the side a surfer is riding, making it easier to get into the wave without dealing with the boat’s prop wash.

Heyday squarely aims the WT-2DC at buyers looking to get into a watersports boat at a more accessible price than most, whether for wakeboarding, wakesurfing or just hanging out.
