Supreme Wake Surfing Championship Presented by Nice Rack Crowns 2015 Wake Surfing Champions

THE SUPREME WAKE SURFING CHAMPIONSHIP PRESENTED BY NICE RACK CROWNS NEW WAKE SURFING CHAMPIONS(Merced, CA) – The first U.S. event of the coveted World Series of Wake Surfing is in the books as the SUPREME WAKE SURFING CHAMPIONSHIP PRESENTED BY NICE RACK is history as they say. The venue was the beautiful BlueWater Resort & Casino in Parker, Arizona on the Colorado River. For two full days on the Colorado River, Supreme watersports towboats gave competitors the monster wave necessary to surf behind a boat.The event, rated as a 3-Star on the Competitive Wake Surf Association’s scale hosted 75 riders from all over the world. Each rider was there to prove that their wake surfing skills were good enough to earn them a position as the best in their division and potentially a berth in the season’s grand finale, the World Wake Surfing Championship.As a qualifying feeder system, the World Series of Wake Surfing is a series of worldwide wake surfing competitions that each contributes their best competitors to the World Wake Surfing Championship to be held in September. The 2015 Series started in early April with the Wake Surf Open Brazil event and will comprise a record setting 23 events worldwide. The Supreme Boats Wake Surfing Championship presented by Nice Rack is the Series’ second event of the 2015 season.Now, in its third year, the event is managed by Jeff Walker, Tournament Director, however Jeff announced his retirement in March stating, “This will be my last year as the event’s tournament director. I have had a lot of fun producing this event for the wake surfing community. Over the years, I have developed some great friendships with people from all over the world. It’s been a very rewarding experience, but it’s time for me to move on.”Divisions include both men’s and women’s and provide a range of age groups for both Surf Style and Skim Style riders. The professional division awarded $12,000 in cash for the top performers.  Results are shown below.
