AF Wake, run by Adam Fields has been charging hard for quite some time now. These events seem like a lot of fun for everyone involved. Whether you are competing yourself, or just want to see the heavy hitters throw down, the AF Wake series of events for 2014 are shaping up to be well worth your time. 2014 AF Wake Series

The AF Wake Series is a Mid-Atlantic Pro/Am water sports series run by World and Brostock Champion Adam Fields and his company, AF Wake.

The events are geared toward engaging the community in fun competition, growing water sports participation, and educating people about sport and boating safety.

Professional events

Rockett’s Big Air – Sunday, May 18 from 5 – 8 p.m. at the Conch Republic restaurant at Rockett’s Landing in Richmond, VA. Pro big air wakeboard show on the James River. Watch all the action from deck the Conch Republic and enjoy the best food and drink in Richmond. Meet the pros before and after.

LKG Big Air Fair – Saturday, June 21 from 12:30 – 5 p.m. at Eaton’s Ferry Bridge, Lake Gaston, NC. The AF Wake and Centurion boats pro wake show. Come see what is possible behind a boat! Centurion Boats will be in full effect, with boats in action and on display. Professional clinics and interactive events are planned for the fans. Meet the AF Wake and Centurion boats pro team and learn more about what makes Centurion the world’s best towboat.

Amateur events

NC INT League – Saturday, August 2 from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. at AF Wake in Lizard Creek, Lake Gaston, NC. The INT League is an exciting league for wakeboarding, waterskiing, wakesurfing, kneeboarding and wakeskating. The INT League is known as the “Little League of watersports!” All ages and skill levels can compete!

Rock the Creek – Saturday, Sept 20 from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. at AF Wake in Lizard Creek, Lake Gaston, NC. All ages and skill levels are welcome to compete! AF Wake’s amateur wakeboarding competition helps preserve Lake Gaston shorelines. Rock the Creek is a fundraising event to provide rip-rap in the creeks of Lake Gaston. Rip-rap is rock used along the shoreline to disperse the energy of waves and armor shorelines against erosion and destruction from rough water.
