Orlando, Fla. — Wakeboarders, wakeskaters and wakesurfers across the globe once again have a chance to claim international bragging rights with the opening of the second annual Tigé MyWake Global Challenge. The-first-of-its kind contest, which is open to riders of all ages, sex and skill levels, will collect video submissions between June 1 – Aug. 31 at http://mywake.tige.com/ with judges selecting monthly pro and amateur winners to receive cash, prizes and/or invites to the live contest in Sparks, NV. on October 4-6, 2013.

The groundbreaking virtual format of the Tigé MyWake Global Challenge allows competitors to submit a video of their very best possible run to the judges – ensuring the highest quality of riding ever in a contest. In addition to athlete video submissions, this year’s competition features an open call for video editors to show off their savvy editing skills, with $5,000 prize up for grabs for the best edit of an athlete submitted video. Editors can choose from any video submitted at mywake.tige.com for their entry.

“We saw such a great response from riders from all across the world for last year’s MyWake Global Challenge it was a no-brainer to bring it back,” said Daniel Gutierrez, Tigé’s director of marketing. With the progressive format of the contest, any type of rider could claim first place in their division. We encourage people to start filming and submitting ASAP to ensure a spot in this year’s Challenge!”

World Wakeboard Association (WWA) judges will review the submissions and select the monthly winners.

Monthly pro winners will receive automatic invites to the live final main event in Sparks, NV. in a pro-am style contest to battle for the top podium spot behind a new and unseen Tigé boat.

Also new to the 2013 Tigé MyWake Global Challenge, the team from Polaroid Action will be onsite providing its one-of-a-kind, point-of-view cameras to capture all of the action from the most unique angles possible.
