Wake Nation To Attempt Guinness World Record

April 20, 2010

This summer, a team of wakeboarders from Wake Nation, a cable wakeboarding park in Cincinnati, Ohio, will attempt to set a new Guinness World Record for most distance traveled on a wakeboard within 24 hours.

The 24-hour world record attempt will begin Friday, June 25, and end Saturday, June 26. The attempt at Wake Nation is officially sanctioned by Guinness World Records, the ultimate authority on record-breaking achievement.

The public is invited to join in the fun. You can ride on the Wake Nation lake with the wakeboarding record-setters as well as participate in photo and autograph sessions and wakeboarding clinics.

Pledged proceeds from the world-record attempt will be donated to MedLend, a non-profit organization that provides medical missions to impoverished countries around the globe in an attempt to save and improve the lives of their citizens.

Wake Nation Cincinnati opens for its second season May 1 and will operate daily through October. Opening hours vary between 10 a.m. and noon, depending on the month. Closing time is 8 p.m. Go to wakenation.com for more information.
