King of Wake: Biggest Cash Bonus in Wake History

Twenty-five thousand dollars. That’s what the winner of the King of Wake World Cup will take home in 2007. The payout, the biggest cash bonus in the history of the sport, was announced today by series organizer World Sports & Marketing. The dash for the $25,000 begins next week in Orlando, Florida, with the Wake Games, the first of 10 stops that will determine the world’s number one rider.

The King of Wake is the ultimate wakeboarding series as it brings together the sport’s top events and series under one ultimate season-long points chase. The 2007 competition for the title and cash include the five stops on the Pro Wakeboard Tour, plus the Wake Games, the WWA National Championships, and the WWA World Championships.

For the first time, the series will have a definite international feel. Canada will host two events
