2009 Pro Tour stop One in Fort Worth

The top pro wakeboarders on the planet are set to battle it out on the waters of Lake Moser at Texas MasterCraft this weekend, May 29-31, for the second event in the 2009 King of Wake series, the MasterCraft Pro Wakeboard Tour stop in Fort Worth, Texas.

Defending Pro Tour champ, Phillip Soven, enters Fort Worth as the man to beat, after going undefeated last year to win his second consecutive Pro Tour title. As the top-seeded athlete in the Pro Men’s division, Soven will begin to defend his Tour title in Fort Worth against top athletes, including current King of Wake series points-leader Rusty Malinoski.

Fort Worth will also serve as the second stop in the Queen of Wake series, where current points-leader Dallas Friday will take on the top female rippers in the world to increase her lead in the series. But reigning Queen of Wake, Nicola Butler, will look to leave Friday in her wake, as the UK standout enters Fort Worth as the top-seeded rider in the Pro Women’s division.
