Cable Parks 2010: WakeSport Ranch

July 13, 2010

Cresson/Fort Worth, Texas

WakeSport Ranch, which opened its doors in March, is the second full-size cable park in Texas and also the second six-tower setup in the United States. Located just 14 miles southwest of Fort Worth, WakeSport Ranch’s 10-acre lake features an impressive 1,771 feet of cable with long straights, a six-acre island and a variety of sick obstacles — two of which are adjustable via remote control. With a two-tower system set to open this summer and a pickup tram running on 3,000 feet of train track set to open next season, WakeSport Ranch has some great projects in the works, making it quite a unique park. With clear blue-green water, the WakeSport Ranch cableway spins clockwise and features eight carriers. If you’re coming to visit WakeSport Ranch, you can stay across the street at a brand-new Best Western.
