Malibu Wakesetter VTX 2009

Overview

Sure, the Malibu VTX's easy-to-store size is a perfect fit for wakeboarders and wakeskaters on length-restricted waterways, but this 20-footer is packed with the rider- and family-friendly features of a much larger wakeboard boat. Take, for instance, big-wake-boat features like the 1,250 pounds of factory ballast system, which is equal to that of Malibu's flagship, the VLX. Or luxury-liner appointments like the new MH2 frameless windshield, oversized captain's chair, removable table and 60-quart cooler. In fact, the biggest thing separating the Malibu VTX from its larger siblings is how easily it slips into a standard garage.

FAVORITE FEATURE:

Rider Presets

Like a maestro, Malibu's new rider preset function uses the VTX's hull, ballast, Malibu Power Wedge and Precision Pro Speed Control in concert, creating customized sessions for everyone in your crew with push-button personal settings for speed and wake size and shape. Or use one of the factory preprogrammed presets to get started.

THE WAKES

The Malibu VTX's wakes are near perfect in shape and great for beginner to intermediate wakeboarders. If you shorten your line to about 65 feet and ride at around 21 to 22 mph, the wake really meats up and you get nice long ramps and landing zones with plenty of cushion.
