Selecting a Boat Trailer

One of the most important aspects of safely towing your boat is having the proper trailer. There are a number of factors to consider when selecting one. First and foremost is the Gross Trailer Weight (GTW) rating, which tells you how much weight the trailer frame and its suspension system can handle. Other important things to look for are construction quality, brakes, a sufficient tongue weight rating, a heavy-duty trailer jack, proper fitting to the boat and trailer finish.
