Miss TransWorld WAKE Nov. 11 Flavia Falquetti

Meet Flavia Falquetti, an amazingly named Brazilian beauty and the winner of our November 2011 Miss TransWorld WAKEBOARDING Model Search. Flavia will go on to compete for the 2012 Miss TransWorld WAKEBOARDING crown, but first she sat down for a quick interview.

Where in Brazil are you from?

I’m from Blumenau. It’s a small city in southern Brazil. It’s where all your typical Brazilian beautys come from!

When and why did you move to the States?

I moved here about four years ago. I have a bit of a adventurous side and like to try new things. So I figured what’s more different and new than moving to a completely different country? Learning a new language and experiencing a new culture is exciting!

You have an awesome name. What does it mean?

I believe it’s from an old Italian word that means blond or golden.

What’s your experience been with wakeboarding — both in Brazil and now in Orlando?

I’ve tried a few times — all with very little success. I’m not really that good.

Do you have a favorite pro wakeboarder?

Tell us a little about your modeling experience?

I modeled a few times in Brazil before moving to the States. Since I’ve been here I’ve pursued it further and it has grown into a very important part of my life. Really, I just enjoy the art behind it and getting the opportunity to work with some really talented and creative photographers.

Since you’ve lived in both places, what’s better the Brazilian-style bikini wax or American-style?

That’s a really tough question. Considering I’ve never had the American style, I’ll have to go with the Brazilian. I mean, It’s famous for a reason, right?

Turn-ons?

Speaking Portuguese, definitely! Looks are important but not everything. I know it’s cliche but a man needs to be confident and have a sense of humor. It also helps when a man can handle his liquor. I don’t want to go out with a guy that I can’t drink under the table. We Brazilians know how to party!!

Turn-offs?

Guys who can’t keep up with me. Using drugs is a big no-no. Also just because you have money (or pretend you do), that doesn’t make you any more attractive than any other guy. It’s not working dudes!!!
