WWA Cancun Pro!

DAILY WEB VIDEOS HIGHLIGHT THE WWA CANCUN PRO PRESENTED BY MALIBU BOATS

Wakeboarding’s top 30 riders will be competing at the WWA Cancun Pro, presented by Malibu Boats on October 3-5, 2014. This elite, season-ending event will bring both men’s and women’s wake riding to the next level, while celebrating the WWA’s 25th anniversary.

The next best thing to being there will be watching the web videos dropping daily in the evenings from Friday through Sunday. The event will also be wrapped up with an overall highlight reel, cut during the following week. Tune into TheWWA.com and MalibuBoats.com to check out all the action.

Puerto Cancun is an ideal venue, offering smooth conditions with wave-breaking shorelines and deep waterways to allow the Malibu Wakesetter 23 LSV to deliver a savory wake. Off the water, participants will enjoy luxury accommodations with a prestigious golf course and private club.

This will be the first pro event featuring Malibu’s new Power Wedge II. New for 2015, this transom innovation is larger than its previous versions, kicking up a bigger wake, while its “lift” feature gets the boat on plane faster and easier than before. The 23 LSV will also feature the dynamic performance of Malibu’s Salt Resistant Package in the crystal blue waters of Puerto Cancun.

Known as the best-selling towboat in the history of the industry, the Wakesetter 23 LSV is ready to push the sport once again. Malibu Pro Team rider and event judge, Chad Sharpe is excited for this first-ever event to kickoff. “Each athlete’s riding is going to be showcased to the fullest at the Cancun Pro,” Chad said. “With a two-run format and a double-up in the finals, we are going to see the best riding in the world today. As a judge, I’ll be looking for riders to mix it up and step out of their normal runs, hopefully stomping some of the new tricks they have been working on.”
