Toyota’s V-Drive

Toyota has a new V-drive floating around that is the base for a new wakeboard-specific edition. The Epic S-22 has been released, and Toyota has big plans for it. They’ve already got a solid product in their X-22 direct-drive, which is the official tow boat of the Gravity Games. However, we all know that V-drives are the choice for riding, and so does Toyota. They plan to have the new wakeboard edition ready by the model year 2001. The existing S-22 already comes with an option for a tower, and when the wakeboard edition is released, there will be many new additions for riding, such as an integrated ballast and other ergonomic enhancements. With design input from Darin Shapiro and The Wakeboard Camp, and with a few hull changes from the X-22 mold, this boat will be a good one to check out.
