Sneak Peek: 2012 Hyperlite Wakeboard Gear

Get a first look at Hyperlite‘s 2012 wakeboarding gear, including Rusty Malinoski’s all-new Hyperlite Marek wakeboard and year two of the Hyperlite System binding.

2012 Hyperlite System binding

After winning Innovation of the Year at the 2011 WSIA Leaderships Awards, the Hyperlite System binding features a handful of updates and two colorways in its second year. The new adjustable toe strap system can be used as a toe cap at the end of your boots or as a toe strap across them while the new Fast Back locking highback option lets you choose between a fixed or articulating highback for customized support.

2012 Hyperlite Marek wakeboard

Rusty Malinoski‘s brand-new 2012 Hyperlite Marek wakeboard retains many of the characteristics of his original hard-charging pro model but is also lighter, stronger and faster. A pair of tip-to-tail channels reduces the Marek’s weight by 15 percent and lifts it higher in the water for a quicker ride while a reinforced spine doubles the break strength through the center of the board. The result is a lighter, stronger and faster Marek that retains the original board’s powerful edge and pop. Get it with the super-light Nova core for $730 or the traditional Biolite layup for $475.

The 2012 Hyperlite Union also features new rail-specific, extra-durable fins and Hyperlite’s Strata mounting system, which gives you complete control of your stance.

Shaped by Scott “Butch” Bouchard with input from Brian Grubb, the new Broadcast is loose enough for skim-style tricks but still user-friendly thanks to a wide, stable design. It also sports a machined EVA pad designed for increased traction and durability.
