The Best Shot

January 20, 2006

In the December issue, we asked you to send in your best shots in exchange for some sweet swag from Reactor watches and a spot in the mag. We received close to 100 submissions, but this shot of Clay Fletcher’s nosepress wall ride after hours at Orlando Watersports Complex by photographer Brett Brinkerhoff stood out from the rest. Shooting from atop another rail down to the wall, Brinkerhoff used a Canon EOS A2E camera with a Sigma 17-35 mm wide-angle lens and a hand-held 540EZ Speedlite flash to snap the shot, and slowed down the shutter speed and narrowed the aperture a touch to get the motion effects. In addition to this fifteen minutes of fame, Brinkerhoff takes home a pair of watches from Reactor. Runners-up Jacob Stich, Dave DuCoin and Nick Haisch each won a Heavy Water 70801 watch from Reactor.
