March 15, 2011
Rusty Malinoski won the 2010 Windermere Wakefest

The annual Windermere Wakefest, in Windermere, Florida, will be held April 16-17, 2011, on Lake Down. The event is the first pro wakeboarding event in the United States of the 2011 season, and is sure to attract a ton of Orlando pros. Plus, The Wake Park Project’s Pat Panakos will set up a Sesitec System 2.0, so it’s a great chance to check out one of wakeboarding’s top innovations.

Windermere Wakefest is part of a weekend-long festival presented by the Town of Windermere and the Rotary Club of Windermere that will raise more than $100,000 for local charities. The Festival also includes live bands and entertainment, boat show, arts and crafts, and food booths, along with a large fair for children.
