For years, Centurion has built its reputation on one thing: waves. The company’s Opti-V hull has become a familiar sight behind some of the most serious wakesurf boats on the water, and for 2027 Centurion is doubling down on that performance-first philosophy with the new Centurion Nv233.
At 23 feet, 3 inches long with a 102-inch beam, the Nv233 sits in the sweet spot for families who want tournament-level surf capability without stepping into the larger, heavier 24- and 25-foot category. And while Centurion is calling this model “performance driven,” the real story is how much usable space and technology has been packed into the platform. The headline number is ballast. The Nv233 can carry up to 5,000 pounds of total ballast, with 3,150 pounds included standard and another 1,850 pounds available through optional plug-and-play bags. That’s serious displacement for a 23-footer, and it’s distributed through multiple ballast zones rather than concentrated in one area, which helps create a longer, cleaner surf wave. What makes that ballast more interesting is how quickly it can be used. New for 2027 is the SeaFlo Fast Mover Ballast System, which uses 13.5-gallon-per-minute reversible pumps in each ballast zone. Centurion says the system cuts fill times by more than 68 percent, meaning less waiting at the dock and more time riding. Buyers can also add the company’s RAMFILL² system, which fills large sub-floor ballast tanks in roughly 90 seconds. Underneath it all is the familiar Opti-V hull, which carries a deep-V shape all the way to the transom. But unlike many dedicated surf machines, it appears designed to remain comfortable when the boards are stowed.
