WINTER PARK, Fla. (April 25, 2017)—After 25 years of bringing wakeboarding’s top talent and most extreme action to audiences around the country, the Supra Boats Pro Wakeboard Tour will livestream its 2017 season for wake sports fans around the globe to experience in real-time. This is the first time that any behind-the-boat wakeboarding series will be accessible worldwide while it happens.
The livestream will be hosted on Wakeboarding’s Facebook page (Wakeboarding Magazine) from 10:45 a.m. to 4 p.m. during each of the tour’s four stops:
- May 13: Oak Mountain State Park – Birmingham, Ala.
- June 24: Memorial Park – Mantua, Utah
- July 22: Mantua Reservoir – Colorado Springs, Co.
- Aug. 12: Voice of America Park – West Chester, Ohio
Audience-focused highlights of the production include tons of rider content—including live and pre-recorded interviews and athlete profiles—and live interaction with event producers, Wakeboarding editors and onsite announcers during the livestream.
For athletes, this industry-leading enhancement makes it possible for friends and family to cheer them on no matter where they are located. When previous title champion Harley Clifford returns to the tour to battle returning rookie stand-outs Cory Teunissen (2016 Third Place Overall, 2015 Rookie of the Year) and Nic Rapa (2016 Rookie of the Year), the three Aussies are sure to have a live audience back home for the first time ever.
Each livestream video will be archived on Wakeboarding’s Facebook page, so viewers can catch up on the action at their convenience.
