2021 Wake Awards: Best Park & Rail Rider Male Finalists

These riders stood out the most on rails and features with a good mix of technical and stylish riding.

This award is all about the riders who push the limits in both the cable park and winch realms (or hitting rails with any other tow device). From new groundbreaking tricks to winning contests to dropping edits that drop our jaws, these riders made 2021 one of the best yet.

Graeme Burress

Last year’s winner, Graeme first won the Best Rail Rider award back in 2014 and took this honor again six years later! His story along with his unmatched drive and determination are nothing short of incredible. The world has been watching Graeme do his thing the past couple years and he’s rewarded us with unbelievable performances and progression. “He rides like nobody else, and whenever he’s on the water, he commands the attention of everybody that’s lucky enough to be around to witness it. ‘Go big or go home’ isn’t just a cheesy tagline for Graeme, it’s a way of life” … Garrett Cortese.

Guenther Oka

It’s no surprise that the former Wake Park World Champion gets a triple nomination in this year’s Boat, Park and Full Scope categories. Guenther’s park and rail skills are among the best and most progressive in the game. He had a solid performance at Red Bull’s Wake Capital in Hamburg, Germany, where he placed third against the world’s best landing a massive 900 over the barge. By summer’s end, the multi-talented rider competed at Milan’s Red Bull Wake The City and graced the podium again with French teammate Loic Deschaux. At the 2021 Wake Park World Championships Oka breezed into finals, unfortunately he had a few mishaps and was unable to defend his title.
