Day One Recap From Tigé MyWake Global Challenge

Live Main Event Portion of

 Tigé MyWake Global Challenge Opens Competition  

Sparks, NV. — Commencing a summer-long battle royale of videos submitted to the groundbreaking Tigé MyWake Global Challenge  presented by Polaroid Action, the highly-anticipated Live Main Event opened competition today at the legendary Sparks Marina. A conglomerate of the world’s best wakeboarders, wakesurfers and wakeskaters, who secured spots in the event based on winning video submissions or highly-coveted wildcard invites, were onsite to kickoff the dramatic first day of competition.

Pinnacle performances from the first day of action in Sparks came from riders in the Master’s Men Surf division. Excelling behind the Tigé Z3, the athletes showcased the growth of the sport excelling off of one of surfing’s best wakes, while meshing technical maneuvers and stylish riding. The day’s best run came from Shannon Robinson, who set the bar high heading into a pivotal day two.

“What sets the the Tigé MyWake Global Challenge apart from traditional contests is the borderless realm of the online video submissions that came in over the summer, ultimately culminating in the riders showing up and having to duplicate their runs at the Live Main Event,” Chris Bischoff, competition director. “With the some of the biggest names in the game hitting the water tomorrow, fans are in store for a full weekend of next level riding.”

Today’s opening heats also served as the competitive debut of Tigé’s brand new ASR boat. The world class wake from the ASR, designed for wakeskating and wakesurfing, provided a perfect launch pad for athlete’s in those divisions and has fans frothing to see how the pros perform off it this weekend
