Top Riders Compete in First-Ever MyWake Challenge

Orlando, FL – The long-awaited live finals of the Tigé MyWake Global Challenge will bring the world’s best wakeboarders, wakeskaters and wakesurfers to Orlando on Sept. 10-11 in the first-ever three discipline invitational competition. Qualifying for the revolutionary contest by submitting their best ever two minute run to http://mywake.tige.com/ between May 1 – July 31, the sports’ premiere athletes will try to duplicate their “dream runs” to earn cash prizes during the finale at Buena Vista Watersports.

Wakeboarding’s biggest stars, including Harley Clifford, Rusty Malinoski and Daniel Powers will be competing in the event which is free and open to the public. Top wakeskaters and wakesurfers will be participating as well, including Dieter Humpsch and Chase Hazen.

“The formula for the Tigé MyWake Global Challenge was simple, film your best run and post it online,” said, Tigé Director of Marketing, Daniel Gutierrez. “The response from the athletes was incredible, we received a ton of remarkable submissions and over 300 entrants. Wake fans will be in for some excitement in the final showdown of some of wake’s top athletes in all disciplines.”

Recognizing the game-changing format of the MyWake Global Challenge, PCM Engines upped the ante of the contest and doubled all Tigé prize money for the monthly winners. With the matched money from PCM Engines, overall prizes for the online and live portions of the contest are more than $35,000.
