1. Be really aggressive with your turn toward the wake. The more aggressive you are with this trick, the more mistakes you can get away with. Being tentative causes you to underrotate and land on your toes. This crushes your ankles, so try to overrotate if anything.

2. Remember, this is a one-handed trick. Edging too long will make the board go around the back and make the line very tight. Edge hard, go flat early, and make sure you get your back hand off the handle before the trough of the wake.
