This installment of Little Rippers features Jack Bartell, Age 8, who rides on Lake Shelbyville, Illinois!
The video, and still image, of Jack was submitted by his mother, Elizabeth Bartell. Elizabeth said that Jack started wake surfing with his dad at age four.
“We took a trip to Florida and booked a day with Kirby Liesmann and he was the one that encouraged him to try wakeboarding. He loves Kirby. Kirby has a special way with the youth.”
Jack also trained with Thomas Herman, according to Elizabeth. “Thomas was a great experience because he really pushed Jack”.
Jack’s favorite trick to practice is heel side wake-to-wake.

I’m also sure everyone would love to know about a special trick or accomplishment (it may simply be getting up for the first time) the Ripper has achieved.
