MasterCraft Dealers and Partners Take Top Honors in Water Sports Industry Association Leadership Awards

VONORE, Tenn. (Feb. 27, 2015) – MasterCraft is excited to announce that three of its long-standing industry partners and dealers were recently honored with coveted WSIA Leadership Awards. The Water Sports Industry Association annually bestows its Leadership Awards to recognize companies and individuals that embody the best practices in the industry, with categories ranging across retail, sales, manufacturing and instruction.

Charlotte Ski Boats, based in Mooresville, NC, was named Marine Dealership of the Year with owners Lee & Amanda Levandowski and their crew setting a shining example through community engagement, philanthropic outreach and superior customer service. The company epitomizes MasterCraft’s motto of being “Held to a Higher Standard” and their team takes pride in matching each customer with the perfect boat.

Action Water Sports, led by Jerry Brouwer & Gregg Rising, was named Retail Shop of the Year for its multiple Michigan storefronts in Hudsonville, Fenton and Traverse City. AWS has a long tradition of excellence being named one of Boating Industries “Top 100 Dealers in North America” for eight straight years as well as the #1 MasterCraft Dealer in the United States.

Bennett’s Waterski and Wakeboard School, a long time MasterCraft dealer led by Jay Bennett, was recognized as the WSIA School/Camp of the Year for its smoothly run operation in Zachary, Louisiana. The school has been in operation for over thirty years with unique instructional programs spanning across waterskiing, wakeboarding and wakesurfing.

These latest recognitions come on the heels of the MasterCraft X23 winning the National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) Innovation Award for its revolutionary new surf-centric hull design and deployable surf devices capable of sculpting perfectly shaped waves at the touch of a button. MasterCraft’s manufacturing facility in Vonore, Tennessee was also a finalist for IndustryWeek’s Best Plants, a distinction earned by other premier U.S.-based companies such as Harley-Davidson, Lockheed Martin and Toyota.
