Body Glove International, the world’s last family owned surf brand, unveiled a totally redesigned and updated website at bodyglove.com.
The new bodyglove.com, created with desktop and tablet users in mind, has been completely revamped with images, branding, social integration and an extensive heritage section on the nearly 60-year-old brand. The lighter color scheme better highlights pro athlete photos, videos and product information. Focused on the user experience, the most popular pages are tabbed across the top for instant access and linked to videos on Vimeo, YouTube and the Body Glove Video Player.
In the product section of the website you can check out the latest photos of your favorite products in action and click for product details. The new product review option, on all the Body Glove products, allows you to rate your favorite gear, post the pros and cons and get your feedback posted to bodyglove.com. And be sure to use the dealer locator to find Body Glove products in-store at a retailer near you.
Staying up to date with athletes like Harley Clifford, Rusty Malinoski and Bob Soven is easy with the updated team and community sections. View constantly updated Body Glove information in the news feed from the Body Glove Blog, Facebook page and Twitter feed. New videos are continuously being added to the home page as well as Vimeo and other social pages, so come back often. Get detailed athlete information and their favorite Body Glove products. Find out more info on some of our favorite charities and non-profits in the Body Glove Community section, like American Rivers, SurfRider Foundation and The Jimmy Miller Memorial Foundation. The Body Glove network is easy to access with buttons at the bottom of every page and click the “Sign Up for the Core News” button to receive the Body Glove email newsletter.
The Heritage section of the new bodyglove.com was one of the most remarkable sections to create because of the steep Body Glove history in both the dive and surf communities. Being the inventors of the first commercially viable wetsuit, left us with a lot of images, stories and list of big name sponsored athletes from the last six decades. Four generations later the Body Glove brand is still owned by co-founders Bob and Bill Meistrell and their families and the vault of images and products continues to swell. This section will be an ongoing piece of work as we add more photos, videos, and content from our 60-year heritage.
There’s still more to come. In the approaching months look for more athlete social feeds, video and store pages optimized for mobile shopping.
