$35,000 Up For Grabs At Wakesurfing Championships

A record purse, exceeding $35,000 in cash and prizes, should have athletes clamoring for top positions at Centurion Boats’ 2010 World Wakesurfing Championships, which is scheduled for July 22-24 in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

The event should draw a record crowd as well. The 2010 World Wakesurfing Championships will be held in conjunction with one of the largest summer festivals in North America — the Minneapolis Aquatennial — which draws hundreds of thousands of people every year.

“Combining the World Wakesurfing Championships with the Aquatennial makes great sense,” says Mark Overbye, Centurion Boats’ CMO. “Itʼs the perfect venue and puts the Championships right in downtown Minneapolis at a proven site, showcased within the hugely successful Aquatennial. This is a big step for wakesurfing and excellent for the athletes.”

As the leading wakesurfing boat, the Centurion Enzo SV240’s wakes are sure to set new Wakesurfing World Championships standards.

More than 25 event sponsors and title sponsor Centurion Boats welcome the top 75 athletes from around the world to compete in Pro and Amateur divisions. Complete registration and event information is available at wakesurfchampionships.com. Also on the website is a link for special hotel rates. Every athlete will receive a full swag kit complete with a unique custom event bib.
