New System 2.0 Park Opens at Midwest Snow Resort

Nordic Mountain, a ski resort in Wild Rose, Wisconsin, opened its new Sesitec System 2.0 park on June 13. Nordic Wake Park will operate on the resort’s 150-foot-wide, 450-foot-long snow-making pond, which was completed in May. The park features just the seventh System 2.0 two-tower straight-line cable system in the country and the first and only in the Midwest. The park’s first obstacle — a 40-foot-long box with wall rides on either side — will soon be joined by others.

The park will operate on Saturdays and Sundays to start, but Nordic Mountain owner Rick Schmitz expects to open the park on weekdays soon. Based on Wisconsin’s weather, Schmitz expects the park to remain open through September.
