Old School with Zane Schwenk and Steve Bates

(Video below)

If you didn’t know Zane Schwenk was one of the pioneers of the great sport we call wakeboarding, then you may also not know what a Skurfer is and you’ve never ridden sandal strap bindings or done a Fashion Air. Well, this video of CWB’s team manager shredding doubles on a kneeboard with Zane on his directional wakeboard is here to school you. Trust us, this is worth watching all the way through. The level of difficulty of doing a toeside front flip on a directional board with a wake no higher than your ankle is quite a feat in itself, but to do it before the advent of extended pylons or towers, with the rope anchored at waist height is downright amazing. Check out two of the greats.
