The Event Concept

_

Scott Byerly wanted to create a wakeskate-only contest that provides riders various formats in which to excel. The event will be an invitational of ten riders with two open spots per class filled through a pre-event qualifier. The unique event format will consist of head to head heats on multiple courses: one traditional format behind a Team Edition Nautique and one slider format behind a Yamaha Wave Runner at The Projects.

Total prize money is over $4,000 broken down between the two individual events as well as the overall. Additionally, there will be a “best trick competition” utilizing a winch on Friday night, April 23rd.

Prior to the event, on April 22nd & 23rd challenge rounds will be held to fill two open spots for both the boat competition and the PWC-Slider competition. The cost of entry is $40 for anyone interested. A downloadable form will be available on www.oneill.com on April 5th as well as on site at sign up on the morning of April 22nd.
