This trick uses the same setup as the tantrum, so throw the trick off the wake in exactly the same manner. It is very important to set the rotation of a tantrum first. Remember: Rotation to fakie is done at the very end of the trick. Three-quarters of the way through the rotation, reach for the handle with your rear hand (or your free hand), turn your wrist over and pull extremely hard to your hip. Look at the shore for orientation to land. You may notice that Tony reaches early for the handle in Photo 4 – he still lands the trick solidly, but only because he still throws the board to fakie at the very end of the rotation. If he had released the handle any earlier, say, Photo 5, he would have thrown his body off axis and fallen.
