Frontside 360

April 2, 2000

Frontside 360s are actually easier to learn than the backside version, especially for someone with a strong frontside 180, because it’s a more natural rotation. However, you still want to learn this trick wake to wake as well. Approach the wake with a narrow, progressive edge. After leaving the wake, begin your rotation by pulling the handle with your rear hand past your rear hip through the small of your back. This will place the handle just out from your hip, making it easier to find the handle and complete the hand pass. The farther the handle pass, the easier the trick. Drop your lead hand and grab the handle while simultaneously looking at the approaching shore for orientation and to stop your rotation.
