This board is constructed the same way as the popular 137cm boards. They ride very similar. The big difference is its size. It is 2 inches longer and 1 inch wider with a tad more rocker at the tip and tail. The 142cm was mainly designed for the bigger, heavier riders with a slightly wider stance.
