The guys at Sidewayz up the ante again with their latest release, Switch 22, which combines the sickest footage of the best riders in wakeboarding. In the same vein as last year’s Switch, Switch 22 goes channel to channel, showcasing unbelievable riding like Shopiro’s switch 900, Wahlman’s 15-foot double-up, Byerly ruling on the wakeskate and Murray sticking everything.
Darin’s insane free-ride segment opens the video and sets the tone for the amazing action to follow. Although Switch 22 lacks some in the quantity of riders, the performances are second to none. Parks sticks the double roll, Wahlman busts giant mute mobes, Regs sticks 7s both ways off the wake and Randy Harris lays down big, method-switch mobes.
To mix things up, the video dives in and out of Spoon watch dials to show scenes of what’s going on in motocross and snowboarding, plus the obligatory Blink 182 video/skate segment.
While not synchronized as precisely to music as Switch, Switch 22 is still an excellent video that’s a must for any fan of wakeboarding. You’ll see great riding, huge airs, people getting worked, unbelievable break dancing and a bunch of general craziness that you won’t find any where else (although we could do without all the bull riding). All this is set to a diverse musical mix of Fat Boy Slim, Southern Culture on the Skids, GBH, Reverend Horton Heat and more.
