Ropes and Handles

Gear: Ropes and Handles

Everyone’s preferences are different, but luckily, so is every handle. The key is finding the one that’s right for you. From line length to grip material, diameter, wrap-handle option, color preferences and more, you’ve got a lot to choose from. The most important of which is the grip. It might be wise to stroll into your local pro shop and feel one out for yourself before pulling the trigger. In the meantime, here are a few good ones to get you started. Enjoy!

Byerly Chamois Handle and Blade A-Line

******MSRP:** $70, $130

Hyperlite Marek Pro Package

Rope Coating: Silicone Flat Line

MSRP: $205

Liquid Force Bob Pro Combo

Grip Material: Oval Two-Tone Ultrasuede Grip

Standout Feature: The minimalist construction gives it a simple, lightweight feel overall, and it comes with an adjustable T-grip for wrapped tricks.

Rope Lengths: 60, 70, 75, 77.5 | 80 feet

Rope Coating: Polyurethane

MSRP: $195

Proline Dowdy Package

Grip Material: Durable synthetic leather with square PE embossment

Standout Feature: The Ax Suede G Series grip is really plush and super tacky to the touch. This is one you’ve got to feel for yourself to fully appreciate.

Rope Lengths: 70, 75, 80 | 85 feet

Rope Coating: Flat silicone

MSRP: $160

Ronix North Handle and R8 Mainline

Grip Material: Embossed hide

Standout Feature: The R8 main line’s urethane coating is square shaped, which prevents it from bending and knotting as easily.

Rope Lengths: 50, 60, 65, 70, 75, 80, 82.5 | 85 feet

Rope Coating: Square-shaped urethane

MSRP: $54, $120

Straight Line Hydra-Tak Pro Handle and Flat Line Combo

Grip Material: Hydra-Tak

Standout Feature: The Hydra-Tak grip is a smooth, comfortable neoprenelike material that becomes sticky when wet.

Rope Coating: Flat-line PVC tubing

MSRP: $140
