When we ran the sequence of Mike Dowdy stomping a perfect switch mute double roll 180 in our March ’13 issue of TransWorld Wakeboarding, the question had to be asked, “is he going to do that in his contest run?” It was done so clean and with apparent ease that signs pointed to yes. The wait was over early on in the Qualifying rounds at the Nautique Wake Games when Dowdy, obviously comfortable on the G23 wake, landed this trick that was easily one of the highest of any trick we saw all weekend.
