Asian Wake Park Tour Finals

Asia’s best riders stormed into Lago De Oro in the Philippines on Nov. 27-28 for the final stop of the Asian Wake Park Tour presented by San Mig Stong Ice beer. Over 60 riders showed their steeze in pursuit of multiple titles for novice, advanced and pro categories.

There are several standout riders in this exploding scene, but one of the upcoming young guns made a huge impact on the sport throughout the 2010 season. 12-year-old Thai rider Daniel Grant is completely on fire with mind-blowing skills in both wakeboarding and wakeskating. Those skills combined with his fun persona has created quite a buzz on the Asian Tour. At Lago, Grant ended up fourth in the Pro Wakeboard category and first in Pro Wakeskate. The young phenom was psyched. “Words can’t explain the feeling after winning,” Grant said. “I can’t even describe it. All I know is that it’s such a good feeling to even get on the podium!”

Another Thai rider, wakeboarder Padiwat Jaemjam (aka: “Bomb”) brought the heat with his powerful style and confident approach. Bomb took first place in the head-to-head Pro Wakeboard category and was another huge standout both on and off the water.
