Down And Derty: The Garden State Wakeoff

It was the battle for wake supremecy of New Jersey. The Second Annual Garden State Wakeoff took a team format into wakeboard competition, pitting riders of the "North Jersey Wake Faction" against shredders making up the "South Jersey Wake Army". The wake riders battled in 7 different divisions over the two day event in what ultimately became a landslide for the North Jersey team.

Ryan Sorensen of Lake Hopatcong Marina was the brains behind this wakeboard event, and put together a fantastic staff of judges, registration assistants, drivers and voluteers that kept things rolling smoothly. The man runs a great event and participated virtually at every level, from registration help to driving to riding himself in the Outlaw division. Mad props go out to both the hard work Ryan kicks down and the people he has assiting him putting it all together. And at the end of Sunday the North Jersey Wake Faction had successfully defended their Wakeoff Crown. Each division saw great action and the North really brought the heat to each category with a great group of riders.
