First Look: Andrew Adkison’s New WBM Blog

The only aversion I have to wakeboarding professionally is that the season, the travels and the experiences, go by so quickly. In fact, during the season I may visit three different continents in three different weekends with only a snapshot of what those places have to offer. My schedule is rushed and my flights are long, but so much happens during these trips and in between them. I feel blessed to be able to live wakeboarding — the intense schedule, friends, stories, and of course, the riding. The blur at which experiences are passing by is one of the reasons why I picked up a camera five years ago. I’ve now realized that having some photos around isn’t enough. There is so much that falls between the cracks. Fifteen riders could spend a week in a new country, and all that gets reported back is the podium or a single free-riding photo. I’m going to fill in the some of those gaps right here on my WAKEBOARDING magazine blog. So stay tuned for much to come.
