With one location down, and loads more to go, Motive Boardwear sets their sights on Alan Shepard Park in Cocoa Beach this Saturday, August 15, 2009, to continue their monthly effort in cleaning local beaches and parks.
The event, running from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m., marks the second location on the brand’s tour dirty beaches and will begin with a short meeting at 7:45 a.m. in the park’s parking lot. Trash bags and stickers will be provided to volunteers along with a chance to win one of Motive Boardwear iconic, 100% organic tees.
“Sylvan McElroy, who won our tee at our last clean-up, said he couldn’t believe the quality of our tees,” says Joe Kolacki, Motive Boardwear Team Manager. “After he won, he immediately put the tee on and wore it the rest of the day.”
Their first stop in New Smyrna Beach turned out a great response from locals, beach goers and surfers, and Motive Boardwear staff hopes their continuing effort will spread the necessary attention Florida’s beaches and lakes need.

About Motive Boardwear:
Motive Boardwear was founded in Winter Park, Florida, February of 2008 to answer the millennial generation’s call for eco-friendly, organic and recycled clothing. We aim to become the first truly responsible wake, skate and surf lifestyle apparel brand by providing entirely 100% organic and recycled clothing. Included in our efforts, a portion of our proceeds will be donated to a “green” charity.
