Greenlake Open 2006

Over $1000 was on the line for the pro division winners at Washington's second tour stop last weekend, the Greenlake Open in Seattle, WA. The suspense was intense and the water was perfect for a day of incredible riding.

In men's wakeboarding, Alex Scagliotti came up from Bend, Oregon to take home the $613.00 cash prize! Alex is no stranger to INT competitions and now is breaking into the pro scene. Alex is working the west coast tournaments, going to INT events in Northern California, Oregon and Washington. Alex started as an intermediate rider and is now riding in the pro division and taking first at every competition so far this season. Local fans have high hopes for this northwest rider at the INT US Championships coming up in October.

In wakeskate, Riley Poor took home another first place trophy for the second week in a row, while younger brother Brennan Frost tore it up in wakeboard advanced showing off his new inverts, and younger sister Lexi Frost took first in wakeboard Jr. novice. Chad Douglas and Collin Spradlin went head to head in the outlaw division. Both riders went big and pulled off some very technical tricks, but in the end Collin Spradlin stood on the first place podium.

The event received some positive local press; photographers from the local papers were on site and in the boats taking pictures of Seattle's most talented water sports enthusiasts. The Seattle Times had a great photo in Local News section of their print edition Monday morning and online there was a slide show with five terrific pictures. Photographer Bryan Myss and editor Zack Clark were also onsite from Wakeboard Northwest, the local source for wakeboard news and events.

The next Washington INT wakeboard event is coming up July 8-9 at Winlock Waters. For more information about these events check out the Washington INT home page at intleague.com/washington.
