Wakeboard Boat Review

We give Correct Craft a lot of credit for making this Super Air Nautique 220 wakeboard boat different from the Super Air Nautique 210 and Super Air Nautique 230, and not just in the length of the boat. The wakes are different. The features are different. And the interior seating is definitely different — facing seat backs, side miniconsoles, extended sun pad and more.

Hull: The Nautique by Correct Craft hulls come from the experience of more than 80 years of building boats under the same family, a passion for wakeboarding, input of an impressive collection of team riders and contest-proven performance. The Super Air Nautique 220's got it.

Ballast: If you're looking for a huge number here, you're not going to find it. Maximum ballast capacity is 775 pounds, and the three-tank factory ballast system itself is optional, though we really consider the Team Edition package of wake amenities a necessity. For a tournament, you'll need more weight. For about 90 percent of the time, and 90 percent of riders, this ballast will do the job.

Tower: The Flight Control Tower is one of Correct Craft's many claims to fame — a breakthrough design that contributed to wakeboarding's literal rise. In addition to that choice for tower comes a Titan tower design of polished stainless steel that looked hot to us.

Wake shaper: The SportShift lever at the helm controls the Hydro-Gate, which can adjust the running attitude of the boat. With the gate all the way up, the dispersion tunnel of the hull has the stern ride deeper in the water for more defined wakes.

Highlight feature: The lounge is basically split up into two sections by the two seat back consoles on each side. The result is a versatile seating configuration good for facing the rear for riding or facing forward for cruising.

The wake: Just like the interior is a departure from the Super Air Nautique 210 and Super Air Nautique 230, so is the wake. It's in the middle of that spectrum between steep and mellow — actually a little on the steep side. The vert kicks in at the top to really kick you up when you charge.
