Moomba Outback LSV

Overview
The Outback LSV has always been our favorite family boat from Moomba, and the changes for 2006 have only improved upon what we already loved. This year, they’ve added a foot in length and widened the beam. Plus the new, deeper hull design promises a smoother ride, whether you’re slicing into the wakes from behind the boat or cutting through double-ups in the driver’s seat.
Wakes
We tested the LSV with its optional three-bag ballast system (Gravity III), which offered plus-size wakes with excellent shape that will be enjoyed by advanced-intermediate riders. For families who like to ski, the Outback LSV provides enough fun to stoke the advanced recreational skier.
Comfort
Moomba added some nice touches to the LSV that make this frequent standout even sweeter. We immediately noticed the extra space and depth added to the cockpit, which holds an additional three passengers this year (13 total). The carpeted walk-through, new dash, textured accent vinyl and an enlarged rear storage compartment are also welcome additions.
Handling
The boat not only maintained speed for our tests with incredible accuracy, it also was fairly responsive and solid as we powered through our rollers to pick up a fallen skier.
