Miss TransWorld WAKEBOARDING Jan. 2012 Ashton Shane

Meet Ashton Shane, a 25-year-old model from Los Angeles and the January winner of our 2012 Miss TransWorld WAKEBOARDING model search. Shane, a native of Kissimmee, Florida, is pumped on the prospect of returning to Orlando for a photo shoot aboard and a session behind the 2012 Supra Launch 242, which is just one of the prizes awarded to our overall winner. And with her background in gymnastics, who knows, Shane might just turn into the next Dallas Friday.

In your entry, you said you kind of suck at wakeboarding. Tell us a little about your experience with it. I tried wakeboarding in college when I lived on Pensacola Beach. I thought that with my background in dance, impeccable balance and yoga toes I would be able to stay on a board long enough for some successful wake riding. But I’m not gonna lie — it was harder than it looked.

Based on your portfolio, you definitely seem like the active type. Any guess why that hasn’t translated to success in water sports? I have no doubt that I can conquer wakeboarding. However, I no longer live in the crystal-clear, warm waters of the Gulf of Mexico. I now live in California and the Pacific is super cold! Also, believe it or not, I don’t know anyone out here who owns a boat.

What do you like to do in your free time? I love traveling, cooking healthy meals, blogging and I attend a boot camp class on Santa Monica Beach regularly. My adventures, recipes and vlogs can be found at vanillawaifer.blogspot.com.

Tell us a little about your modeling experience. I’ve shot national and international campaigns, traveled as a spokesmodel for various companies and interviewed with most of my dream clients. I found my niche in beauty and fitness print, hosting, and improvisation.

Turn-ons? Nerds and art freaks. Basically, people who aren’t afraid to be themselves and march to the beat of their own drum. If you can tear apart a computer and put it back together on your own or play various instruments, we’ll more than likely be friends. Treat me kindly, remember anniversaries, make me laugh and feel as if no girl existed before me and you’ll make my heart melt.

Turn-offs? Men who don’t wear deodorant because they insist they don’t sweat. News flash guys: You sweat and it smells!

What would a guy have to do to get you out on his wake boat? If you own a boat, live in Cali, aren’t creepy, wear deodorant and are willing to help me wakeboard — I’m in! Only question is who’s going to film this, because it’s going to be hilarious.
